About the Artist
Magnus Gjoen’s limited edition giclee prints examine the idea that something which is potentially destructive can be made into a beautiful yet fragile art object. Taking inspiration from street and pop art and juxtaposing these aesthetics with fine art, Magnus creates new and modern takes on old masterpieces by manipulating something powerful and strong into something fragile but beautiful.
Magnus Gjoen has exhibited through Ink-d Gallery, The Saatchi Gallery and Lawrence Alkin Gallery alongside being exhibited for The Amy Winehouse Foundation and working in collaboration with Converse - making his artwork highly collectable and sought after by a wide collector base.
