About the Artist
Penelope Slinger takes her cue from Surrealist collages, splicing together body parts to create images that attempt to map different aspects of the Self. Slinger has worked both by herself and as part of a group to explore ideas relating to the subconscious, the erotic and the spiritual.
Penelope Slinger's works on Kids of Dada are part of her early career in which she first burst onto the feminist art scene. Widely popular, Slinger’s artworks are an important part of the history of collage, as-well-as artistic documentation of contemporary Women’s Studies.
