Cynthia Merhej is a multi-media artist who explores the fine line between the real and the imaginary. These collectable limited edition silkscreen prints are part of a fictional narrative project named ‘The Atlas Hotel’ where Merhej represented a stage in the career of the now washed up actor Nasser al-Safi. With a vintage feel these artworks reference the Middle Eastern ‘golden age’ alongside its turbulent political climate.
Currently little known in the UK her work has been shown in publications from Time Out, Beirut to Varoom Magazine, London.
