CHERELLE SAPPLETON

Having recently graduated from her MFA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, Cherelle Sappleton has already had some significant exhibitions and opportunities - she has been nominated for the Curious Duke Prize, 2014, and will become artist in residence at Wac Arts, London, later in 2014. Interested in performance, photography and surrealism, Cherelle Sappleton’s collage explores anatomical overlaying. Her clear visual style incorporates extra limbs and body parts to deform and dehumanise advertisements. Creating images that are both recognisable and yet alien.
